MEET MEDFORD’S NEW POLICE CHIEF: TREVOR ARNOLD

Get to know Police Chief Trevor Arnold, who began
leading the Medford Police Department on June 3 after
more than 27 years of service with the agency.
What are your top priorities as Police Chief?
My top priorities are supporting the people of the
Medford Police Department, strengthening community
trust, and ensuring we are using our resources effectively
to address crime, traffic safety, livability concerns, and
emerging public safety needs.

I also want to continue building strong partnerships with
community organizations, neighboring law enforcement
agencies, and service providers. As a lifelong Medford
resident who raised my family here, I care deeply about
keeping our city safe, welcoming, and strong.

What inspired you to pursue a career in law
enforcement?
I was drawn to law enforcement because it offered a
meaningful way to serve the community I grew up in and
be part of something larger than myself. Over time, that
motivation has only grown as I’ve seen the impact good
policing can have when it is grounded in professionalism,
compassion, and accountability.

What message would you like to share with the
community? through consistent actions, especially in difficult
